Intro to Hockey

INTRO TO HOCKEY (formerly known as Learn to Skate)

Is Your Child Interested in playing Hockey? If so, we have just the program for you.  It's our INTRO TO HOCKEY program, a learn to skate program for Boys & Girls who want to develop the skating skills to give hockey a try.  The focus is on FUN while teaching basic hockey skating skills.

Our Winter Introduction to Hockey program runs three sessions per year (Fall / Winter / Summer).  Our next session will start in mid-June.  Check back here in May to register!

ELIGIBILITY

Introduction to Hockey is intended for first-time or younger skaters aged 3-8 years old who have an interest in getting started in hockey.  Kids less than 10 years old are welcome to join the program, but should be aware the average age of participants is around 6 years old.  The program is not restricted to any youth hockey district , but participants must be aware that participation in the Introduction to hockey program does not provide eligibility to the McFarland youth hockey district for 10U (Squirts) and higher teams.  WAHA denotes hockey districts and is based on your residence.
